A tribute to the victims of Ozar Hatorah, Toulouse, France. March 19, 2012.
Do not forget!
On March 19, 2012, around 8 a.m. the last parents rushed to drop off their children at the Ozar Hatorah School in Toulouse, France. On the sidewalk opposite, a man with a black motorcycle helmet watched for a few moments from his scooter, then walked with a cold and determined step towards the school entrance. He then opened fire with a submachine gun in the direction of a teacher, Jonathan Sandler (30). Hit in the stomach, Sandler threw himself on his two children in order to protect them, but in vain, Arieh (5) and Gabriel (4) were also affected and succumbed at the same time as their father.
“The scooter killer” then entered the school and resumed shooting blindly. Arriving in the school yard, he saw the director’s daughter, Myriam Monsonego (7), grabbed her by the hair and executed her in cold blood with a point-blank bullet in the head. Her father had just let go of her hand to go to his office.
Jonathan Sandler, 30, his two children Arieh (5) and Gabriel (4), as well as Myriam Monsonégo (7), were murdered in cold blood because they were Jews. They were buried on March 21, 2012, in Jerusalem, Israel.
A few days earlier, the appalling killer had already cowardly murdered three soldiers in the Montauban region.
It is our duty never to forget and to remember what happened that day. The four victims of Toulouse were murdered because they were Jews because hatred once again took over. This hatred, especially of the Jew, often starts from prejudice, jealousy, misinformation, misunderstanding, and ignorance of history. This deep hatred can lead man or woman to commit the most barbaric acts.♦

Aux victimes d’Ozar Hatorah, Toulouse, France. Le 19 mars 2012
Le 19 mars 2012, vers 8 heures du matin, les derniers parents se sont précipités pour déposer leurs enfants à l’école Ozar Hatorah de Toulouse, en France. Sur le trottoir d’en face, un homme avec un casque de moto noir a observé quelques instants depuis son scooter, puis s’est dirigé d’un pas froid et déterminé vers l’entrée de l’école. Il a ensuite ouvert le feu avec une mitraillette en direction d’un professeur, Jonathan Sandler. Touché au ventre, Sandler s’est jeté sur ses deux enfants afin de les protéger, mais en vain, Arieh et Gabriel ont également été touchés et ont succombé en même temps que leur père.
« Le tueur au scooter » est alors entré dans l’école et a recommencé à tirer à l’aveuglette. Arrivé dans la cour de l’école, il a vu la fille du directeur, Myriam Monsonego, l’attraper par les cheveux et l’exécuter de sang-froid d’une balle à bout portant dans la tête. Son père venait de lui lâcher la main pour se rendre à son bureau.
Jonathan Sandler, 30 ans, ses deux enfants Arieh (5 ans) et Gabriel (4 ans), ainsi que Myriam Monsonégo (7 ans), ont été froidement assassinés parce qu’ils étaient juifs. Ils ont été enterrés le 21 mars 2012 à Jérusalem, en Israël.
Quelques jours plus tôt, l’effroyable tueur avait déjà lâchement assassiné trois militaires dans la région de Montauban.
Il est de notre devoir de ne jamais oublier et de nous souvenir de ce qui s’est passé ce jour-là. Les quatre victimes de Toulouse ont été assassinées parce qu’elles étaient juives parce que la haine a repris le dessus. Cette haine, en particulier du Juif, part souvent des préjugés, de la jalousie, de la désinformation, de l’incompréhension et de l’ignorance de l’histoire. Cette haine profonde peut conduire l’homme ou la femme à commettre les actes les plus barbares.♦
